We cut our own meat, and we’re always happy to cut it your way. Tell us what you’re cooking and for how many, and we’ll set you up.

You won’t find an ocean in Centre Wellington, but you will find scallops, shrimp and smoked salmon at Dar’s. What’s in the case changes with supply, so call ahead if you’re planning a dinner around it.

Deli & Dar’s kitchen

The deli case is where regulars go straight to. Sliced meats and cheese, dips and dressings people drive in for, and Dar’s own soups and sides for the nights you’d rather not cook.

Bakery & pies

That’s not us talking, it’s a reviewer. The bakery shelves carry fruit and cream pies, butter tarts, fresh bread and buns, cookies and squares. There’s a good gluten-free section too.

Produce

Asparagus from Dalton White Farms when it’s in. Ontario peaches, field tomatoes and sweet corn in summer. Apples by the basket and fresh cider in the fall. The basics the rest of the year.

The store packed with shoppers in winter coats at Christmas, in front of shelves of sauces and preserves.

Local & specialty

Half the fun of Dar’s is the shelves. Ontario cheese, maple syrup, honey, hot sauce, preserves and dips from makers you won’t find at the big stores. Tell us what you’re looking for; if we don’t have it, we’ll do our best to find it.
