Pre-order requests When you send a pre-order or catering request, we keep your name, phone number, email (if you give it) and the details of your request so we can call you, confirm your order and have it ready. We use them for that order only. We don’t add you to any mailing list from a pre-order.
The Dar’s List (email and text messages) If you join the Dar’s List, we keep your first name, the email address and/or mobile number you give us, the topics you ticked, and a record of your consent: what you agreed to, which boxes you ticked, when, and on which page. That record is how we show that you asked to hear from us, as Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL) requires.
- We only send email if you ticked the email box, and only text messages if you ticked the text box.
- Every message says it’s from Dar’s Country Market, with our address and a way to unsubscribe.
- You can unsubscribe any time: use the link in any email, reply STOP to any text, use this form, or email us. We act on it within 10 business days, usually much sooner.
- We never sell, rent or share your details. If we use an email or text service to send messages, it handles your details only on our behalf.
Visit statistics We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people find useful: pages viewed, the kind of device, and a rough location (city level). It sets cookies but doesn’t tell us who you are, and we don’t use it for advertising. You can block it in your browser’s settings or with Google’s opt-out add-on.
What we don’t do No advertising trackers, and we don’t sell data. The website doesn’t ask for payment details.
Spam protection To keep bots out, our forms use hidden checks and store a scrambled (hashed) version of the connecting address for a short time. It can’t be turned back into your address.
