Where is Dar’s Country Market?
At 6458 Wellington Road 7, Elora, Ontario N0B 1S0: on Wellington Road 7 at Speers Road, on the south side of Elora, in the Home Hardware plaza beside The Beer Store. It’s about 2 minutes from downtown Elora, 9 minutes from Fergus and 24 minutes from downtown Guelph. Get directions.
What are your hours?
Our summer hours (since May 4, 2026) are Monday to Friday 10 a.m.–6 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m.–6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Hours change with the seasons and on holidays. The latest are always on our Google listing and Instagram, or call 519-846-8600.
Is there parking?
Yes, there’s plaza parking right out front.
Is the store wheelchair accessible?
Our Google listing shows a wheelchair-accessible entrance and parking. If you need a hand with anything, call ahead at 519-846-8600 and we’ll help.

Yes, we take tap.
Is there still a Dar’s on Mill Street?
No. Our Mill Street shop in downtown Elora closed on August 1, 2025. Everything is at 6458 Wellington Road 7.
Off the Smoker
When is Dar’s Off the Smoker on?
Thursday to Sunday. Thursday is baby back ribs, Friday is Caribbean Friday (jerk chicken, jerk pork or BBQ chicken with Jamaican festivals), Saturday is Smokehouse Saturday (brisket, pork belly bites, smoked sausage and sides), and Sunday is baby back ribs with a seasonal side.
What time is the food ready?
Caribbean Friday food is usually hot and ready around 12 p.m. For the other days, call 519-846-8600 and we’ll tell you when to come.
Do you sell out?
Yes, almost every time. We cook in limited quantities, and when it’s gone, it’s gone. Pre-ordering is the only way to be sure.
How do I pre-order smoker food?
Call 519-846-8600 or send us a DM on Instagram (@darscountrymarket) to reserve your meal and confirm a pickup time. For a future week you can also send a request online; it isn’t confirmed until we call you back.
How much does it cost?
From our September 2026 menu: ribs are $17.99 per pound (priced by weight), Caribbean Friday meals are $13.99, and Smokehouse Saturday combos are $34.99 (2 proteins + 1 side) or $41.99 (3 proteins + 2 sides). Prices are in CAD and can change.
Can I order smoked meat for a party?
Yes. Tell us the date, how many people and what you’d like in a pre-order request, or call. We also cater within 50 km of Elora — see catering.
Pre-orders & catering
How do I pre-order?
Call 519-846-8600, DM us on Instagram (@darscountrymarket), or send a request online. Online requests aren’t confirmed until we call you back to go over the details, the price and your pickup time.
Do you take custom meat orders?
Yes. We cut our own meat, so we can cut to order: thicker steaks, particular cuts, roasts for a crowd or a big freezer order. Send a request or call.
Can I order a Thanksgiving turkey?
Yes. For Thanksgiving 2026 we’re taking pre-orders until Tuesday, October 6 for turkey, ham, pumpkin pie and apple pie. Order here or call 519-846-8600.
Do you deliver?
Orders are for pickup at the store. If you’re planning an event, ask us about catering.
Do you cater?
Yes, within 50 km of our Elora store: smoked meat from our own smoker, cheese and deli platters, sides and pies. Tell us about your event.
Can I order cupcakes or a pie?
Yes. Tell us what you’d like, how many and your pickup date in a pre-order request, or call.
The food
Does Dar’s cut its own meat?
Yes. Our butchers cut in-house at the store, which is how we can cut to order. See the butcher counter.
Do you sell local products?
Yes, lots. Ontario cheese from makers like Springbank and Gunn’s Hill, maple syrup, honey, cider, butter tarts from Stone Crock Bakery, Pattie Mon patties from Guelph and seasonal produce such as Dalton White Farms asparagus. Meet the makers.
Do you have gluten-free food?
Yes: gluten-free butter tarts, other gluten-free baking and a gluten-free freezer section. Ask at the counter for what’s in this week.
Do you sell seafood?
Yes. Sea scallops, black tiger shrimp, bacon-wrapped scallops and smoked salmon are regulars. What’s in the case changes with supply, so call to ask what came in. See seafood.
What are Jamaican festivals?
A Jamaican side: sweet, fried cornmeal dumplings, crisp outside and soft inside. They come with every Caribbean Friday meal. More in jerk and festivals.
Is Dar’s a restaurant?
No, it’s a market. Smoker food and the deli’s ready-to-eat food are packed for you to take away.
